We all need him because we are stained by inherited Sin, and no matter how good we are or what we do. We on our own will never be able to get rid of it. But God the Father has given us His one and only Son Jesus over two thousand years ago to be born to a virgin and be the perfect man. At the age of 33 He died on the cross /stake, put there be evil men. but it was all in Gods plan. It is through the work of death on that tree that Jesus has taken our Sins away.

But we have the part to play in believing by faith in Him (Jesus) that he both died for us and rose again from the dead on the third day.

If we have made a decision to commit our lives to God, then we will receive the Holy Spirit as a mark of Gods approval. The Holy Spirit is the breath of God, He is known by several names. The comforter, Parakletos (one who comes along beside), helper. He comes within us to lead us to the truth, to teach us about what God has to say in the Bible and last of all to bring things to remembrance, John 14:15-16, 26.
