Attendance Across Three Tiers:
Utilizing an MTSS Framework to Support ALL Students
Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit's Training and Consultation Team for this virtual training series.
This series will focus on a multi-tiered approach to implementing data-driven schoolwide processes for addressing absenteeism utilizing an MTSS Framework. Reducing chronic absence fits nicely into the three-tiered problem-solving systems to reduce chronic absenteeism in schools and districts across the United States (Attendance Works). We will discuss leading a whole school approach to attendance, organizing a multi-tiered strategy, examining attendance data, identifying barriers to regular attendance, research-based interventions, and supporting students who are chronically absent. Attendees will understand the importance of using data to select schoolwide, small group, as well as monitor and adjust individual student interventions as necessary.
Intended Audience: K-12 General Education, Special Education Teachers, Behavior Specialists, Administrators, School Personnel, who are a part of a SAP Team, or Student Problem Solving team addressing truancy and attendance issues.
Educators who work for LEAs in the AIU3 region will have priority registration.
- There is no cost for these trainings
- Act 48 hours available upon completion of the training
- Registration for each session is highly encouraged but not mandatory
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Traci Seibert traci.seibert@aiu3.net
