- The 2015-16 audit was completed in October of 2016
- The BOE approved sale of 3.5 million dollars in bonds, as opposed to the 2 million which was originally included in the budget. The district sold the additional bonds to take advantage of the low interest rates at that time.

- The district has not received any mandated categorical payments from the state, and state grant money is significantly delayed.
- Local property tax collections are declining due to a delay in refunds and tax objections.
- There was a significant amount of unanticipated work at Kennedy related to the MWRD and the relocation of the FAA Tower.
- After reviewing the tentative budget, the committee is recommending the BOE approve the budget at their regular meeting on June 21, 2017. The tentative budget will be on display for 30 days as required by law beginning Monday, May 22nd in the district office.
- 5Essential Survey Results: Dr. Boryszewski shared that the district is consistently improving in all 4 domains, which means the administration is taking the survey results and using it to implement positive change.
