Note from Mrs. Craft
Dear Hart Families,
Happy Thursday! We have had an awesome short week of school. As most of you know, Leopard Friday has been postponed to Friday, October 27th due to the extreme heat conditions. The game will continued to be played in Leopard Stadium tomorrow night at 7:30.
We are very excited to welcome our Grandparents next week for Grandparent's Day. This is simply an opportunity for us to honor our sweet Grandparents. Enjoy lunch together, take a picture, and say thank you. As a reminder, if the Grandparent would like to eat lunch, then they need to bring their lunch with them. Our guests will not be allowed to go through our cafeteria line. Thank you in advance for understanding. I would highly recommend that you plan ahead because we are expecting a large crowd, and we have to individually check each person in through our system. I am excited for us to create great memories for our students next week.
As always, please feel free to reach out at anytime with questions or concerns.
All My Best,
Wendy Craft

Lovejoy Green Team
The Lovejoy Green Team is implementing a new recycling program beginning on Leopard Friday: Sept. 8th at Leopard Stadium. There are an estimated 4000 bottles at every varsity home football game that have been going to the landfill but they can be recycled. The Lovejoy Green Team does not funding from Lovejoy ISD and we need your help to buy bins for fields, courts and gyms.
Please consider donating to sponsor-a-bin or donate towards the purchase of a bin. Thank you for helping to make Lovejoy Cleaner and Greener. 100% of donations directly support Green Team programs and your donation is tax deductible.

Texting with Teachers
We are excited that the district will be utilizing Bright Arrow which will allow teachers to send "blast" texts and emails to our parents. As part of the district's Technology Acceptable Use Policy, we are asking teachers to refrain from texting with our parents. We are doing this in order to preserve our teacher's personal time and ensure confidentiality for all students. We know communication is important, and we encourage you to email, send a message in SeeSaw, or call the teacher on the school line. Thank you in advance for understanding.
Absences and Dismissal Changes
If your student will be ABSENT, please email Irianna Olvera at irianna_olvera@lovejoyisd.net. We need the email as documentation for our records.
If you have a DISMISSAL CHANGE for your student and either cannot access School Dismissal Manager or it is after 2:00, please email or call Janean Mancini at janean_mancini@lovejoyisd.net.
Checking Your Student Out Before 3:10
If you need to check out your student before the end of the day, please do so by 2:45pm. Anytime after that is difficult to get out of the parking lot. Thanks for your help with this!

A Note from Nurse Tami
· Kindergarten - 1st grade Parents: It would be a good idea to keep an extra change of clothes in your child's backpack as a just in case (top, bottoms, socks, and extra pair of shoes). In order for us to help other children, please return any borrowed clothing (except underwear) after washing to the clinic.
· Borrowed Clothing: Kids from all grade levels during the school year come to the clinic for a change of clothing for various reasons (falling in mud, bathroom accidents, etc.). We try to loan out clothes when possible. The clinic needs boys and girls clothing in every elementary age, especially bottoms, unused underwear, and socks.
