Be Kind, Work Hard, Be Brave
Note From Principal Graham
Many families ask what can their child do over the summer to help with learning and the best answer is READ. Each child received four books during our summer reading kick-off this week. Taking 20 minutes a day to read will foster the reading skills your child already has and grow them as well. Enjoy the reading time!
Have an amazing summer and we look forward to seeing you in August!

Parents/Legal Guardians:
Wondering what you need to do if your student has problems with their district-issued device over the summer?
You can find information that applies to most students in English and in Spanish here.
English — https://bit.ly/3gjZ9r8
Spanish — https://bit.ly/3cxyTbw
Current Fifth Graders (students who will attend sixth grade in the fall) — Lexington School District One fifth graders who need to have their device repaired over the summer should go to the middle school that the student will attend in the fall for help. You can find information and telephone numbers for all of the middle schools here. https://www.lexdistrict1.com/schools/middle-schools
Moving Away? — Any parents/students moving outside of the Lexington District One attendance area must turn in their district-issued devices to their current school. If you do not return the device, the district will charge you the total replacement value of the device, make the device unusable, and file a police report.
Hotspots — If you received a district-issued hotspot and no longer need it, you can turn it in at your home school. Hotspot users, please note that the South Carolina Department of Education will disable all hotspots on June 10, 2021, and reenable them once the new school year begins. However, if your student is participating in a Lexington District One summer program, your hotspot will remain active.
If you have questions regarding any information in this email or the linked attachments, please email the district’s Enterprise Information Technology Officer Deb Huggins at dlhuggins@lexington1.net.
Thank You,
Deb Huggins, Enterprise Information Technology Officer
