Bullying Is Everywhere

In 2008 20% of children ages from 2 -17 expeirenced bullying in some way. Over one third of bullying is at the bus stop or on the bus.

What is bullying?

Bullying is unfair and one sided. It happens when one person is hurting, frightening, threatening or leaving someone out on purpose. It is also can be a form of agressive behavior manifested by the use of force or coercion to affect others.

Recognizing Bullying

Here are some ways to recognize bullying by asking these questions:

* Is it fair?

* Is it one- sided?

*Is someone using power in a hurtful way?

* How does it feel?

Types of Bullying

Some types types of bullying are:

*Face to face bullying

*Behind the back

Also there are three ways of bullying like:

*Verbal bullying ( using words)

*Cyber bullying (online)

*Physical bullying ( making contact)


Putdowns are bullying here are some putdowns:

* name calling

* insults

* making faces

* rude gestures

* imitating or making fun of someone. This is bullying!!
