Cuba
Cuba's Independence from the Spanish was on May 1902 and celebrated on January 1 or Triumph Of the Revolution Day. Their legal system is based of the Spanish civil code. The leader or president of the central government is Raul Castro. He got his place by his brother Fidel Castro passing it down to him. Cuba's real name is the Republic of Cuba but they call it Cuba for short.
Mexico
Mexico is a federal republic with 31 states in all. There are Seven political parties in Mexico. The suffrage of mexico is at least 18 years of age. Mexico's independence was declared on September 16, 1810 but is was recognized by the Spanish on September 27, 1821. Their legislative branch is bicameral so there are two legislative houses.
The capital of Mexico is Mexico City with the coordinates of 19 26 N 99 08 W. The current president is Enrique Pena Nieto and she has been president since December 1, 2012 . Mexico's conventional long form name is United Mexican States but for short we just call it Mexico. Mexico has an independence day but it is on September 16 celebrating their independence from Span. The name of the Mexico's national anthem is Himno Nacional Mexicano.
Brazil
Brazil has 26 states and only one federal district. The name of Brazil's capital is Brasilia and the coordinates are 15 47 S, 47 55 W. Brazil's Government is a federal republic. Brazil gained independence on September 7, 1822 from Portugal. Their legislative branch is bicameral so there are two legislative houses.
The suffrage of Brazil is people between 16 to 18 years of age do not have to vote but they can if they want. People from 18 to 70 have to vote because of law. The president of Brazil right now is Dilma Rousseff. She has been president since January 1, 2011 and she got her position from a runoff election. There are 31 political parties so everyone gets an opinion on something.
