FIFTH GRADE COIN DRIVE
Kids Helping Kids Began for 5th Grade Students!
With the help of the fifth grade staff, reading specialists and our fantastic parent donations, MESA is happy to announce that they were able to bring back this enrichment program to our fifth grade students. Each student will receive a copy of the book "The War that Saved my Life" by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley to keep. Each classroom will read the book and, as they discuss related topics, they will also participate in a coin drive to benefit Save the Children. The money raised will help provide relief to children in need around the world. The coin drive will began May 8 and will end May 31. If you have any questions, please reach out to MESA at info@mesa4parents.org.
"In the U.S. and around the world, Save the Children does whatever it takes to ensure children grow up healthy, educated and safe."

A Note from J/J's Librarian, Corie Siena
The Mansfield Public Library is running their annual "Books in Bloom" event this month. Last week during classes' library time, we read "Rose's Garden" by Peter H. Reynolds. Students had the opportunity to make a paper flower for our display, pictured below, which we entered into the library's Books in Bloom contest. Students and their families are welcome to visit the library this month and vote for their favorite entry. For more information, click on the link below.

Attention 4th Grade Families
Greetings from the Nurses. Recently there were letters sent home to some 4th grade students with information about physical exams. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Under Massachusetts General Law 105 CMR 200.00, Mansfield Public Schools require documentation of physical exams in grades Pre-K, K, 4, 7, and 10 (as well as each year for high school sports eligibility). We will accept physicals dated from 9/1/2021 and after.
