Parent Back to School Night

We would like to invite parents to our Back to School Night on Thursday, September 12. This is an evening where parents will visit their child's classroom and learn about the upcoming year. There is also a presentation led by the principal in the cafeteria. The structure of the evening is as follows:


5:30-6:00 PM Presentations in Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade Classrooms.

6:10-6:40 PM Principal presentation in the Cafeteria

6:50-7:20 PM Presentations in Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade Classrooms.


We look forward to partnering with you for the success of our students!

Picture Day

Picture Day

Picture Day is Tuesday, September 24th. Packets will be sent home with students.

You can order using a check, cash, or paying online at ios.mydorian.com. Our online access key is SM3YWGSB. If you order online please print your receipt and include it in your envelope. You can also order up to 4 days after picture day. After the 4 day grace period expires, a personalized access key will be sent home with picture delivery. A $7 shipping and handling fee will be added to all orders made with a personalized access key and orders ship directly home.


Reminder: Students can always order at Retake Day with no extra charge. Retake day is November 7th.

Student or Family Photo-Reading For Fun

It is not too late to bring a summer reading photo to school or a beginning of school reading photo. We will create a display in the library to celebrate reading.


The more you read the better reader you become!

National Walk and Bike Day

October 2nd is National Walk and Bike to School Day. We realize that many families live across Scholls Ferry Road and it is not safe to walk and bike. We also celebrate our students who carpool and ride the bus.

We will have staff outside greeting students as they arrive along with some fun music.

Enjoy The Ridge and support Scholls Heights on Wednesday, September 18th from 5:00-8:00 PM. Scholls Heights PTO will receive 10% of the proceeds!

Please take a moment to label your child's coats and sweatshirts. As the year progresses, it is amazing how many wonderful clothing items end up in our lost and found.

Message from Nutrition Services

Nutrition Services information is easier to access this year, and we have lots of cool information to share!


Remember that the 30-day Rollover Period for 2018-2019 meal benefits will end in early October. Be sure to apply TODAY so your students don’t have a lapse in benefits. Any families whose students go into “Paid” status will be responsible to pay for all meals charged in school cafeterias. Don’t let this happen to you!!

All you need is your student’s ID number. If you don’t have that, you can call your school office

or the Meal Benefits line (503-356-3957). Here are some of your options in SchoolCafe:

  1. Create an account
  2. Apply for Meal Benefits
  3. View and print Meal Benefits letters
  4. See what items your student is getting in the cafeteria.
  5. Check your student’s account balance.
  6. View cafeteria menus
  7. Set up low balance alerts
  8. Set up auto-pay (when balance gets to an amount that YOU set, the account is replenished from your credit card)


SchoolCafe can provide amazing amounts of information!


If you do not have access to a computer, you can also apply for Meal Benefits on paper. Applications are available in every school office and cafeteria.
