Skate Night is next Thursday, April 14th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Northland Rolladium! School Skate Night parties are a fun and easy way to help raise money for Schumacher. Bring your students and any other family or friends who want to have a blast at each month's themed skate party. (The more paid skaters, the more money raised for Schumacher.)

The class with the most attendance will be awarded the "Golden Skate Award" trophy to keep in their classroom that month along with a free pass for each student in the class to use at a future public session! This month's theme is "Neon Blackout". Wear your brightest colors and bring your glowing and flashing items to skate in the dark throughout the night! Celebrity appearances this month will be made by Mr. Farris, Mrs. Smith, and Ms. Walls.

Skate parties are private events for students and their families and friends. We are not open to the general public during skate parties. You are always welcome to stay and even skate with your child. If you are comfortable leaving your child, simply sign them in with a contact phone number with our experienced rink management and staff.

Calling all Dads and Father Figures! It's time for Dads and Donuts!

When: Friday, April 15th

Time: 8:30 am

Where: Schumacher Gym

What: Come and have a donut and juice with your student, courtesy of PTA! This is just a time for dads to come spend a little time at Schumacher with their kids before school.

We invite all dads who are able to come to join their student for a quick breakfast in the Schumacher gym before school. If your student's dad is unable to attend, please feel free to bring a grandpa, uncle, or other "substitute". See you there!

This year, our Shark 5K will be held on April 15th from 5:30-7:30pm. We will be raising money to support local and national charities chosen by Student Council and voted on by Schumacher students and staff. The charities being supported will be Unleashed Animal Rescue, Heart to Heart International, and Hillcrest Transitional Housing. The event will take place on the Schumacher trail. All are welcome to come raise money and awareness for these great organizations. We will have water and snack stations, a book fair, and music too. Registration is accepted on a donation basis, with a suggested donation of $15 per registrant. Come join us!

Lillian Schumacher Elementary is having a Schoola clothing drive to earn money for our school! We will be collecting gently-used clothing, shoes, and handbags during the week of April 11-15. Please fill up a bag, fill out the sticker label that will be coming home with your child and attach it to your bag, and drop it off at our school office. If you need more labels, we have them!

These items will be resold at www.schoola.com. Our school will earn 40% of the profit after shipping costs. So, please only send in what can be resold. A good motto: "If you can give it to a friend, Schoola can resell it."

Here are some helpful guidelines to follow:

- Freshly laundered infant through womens sizes

- Mens clothing if it is something a teenager could wear

- No holes, stains, or missing labels

- No socks, underwear, robes, bedding, or flammable pajamas

- Swimsuits only if new with tags
