Tecumseh Local School App

Please take a minute and download the App to your phone. This will help you stay connected to what is going on in our district and school. Thank you.

You can NOW add your student absences on the APP too. Go to the App, then to NCES, then choose Forms. Fill it out and it goes directly to the office staff. It is available 24 hours a day.

This is a very handy way to have this at your fingertips.

Teacher / Staff Appreciation Week

Our Staff works so hard each and every day in a typical year. This year has been no typical year. This year more than ever they have been asked to go above and beyond to teach our students in person, and virtually. They happily conquered this task the best they could all while learning how to continue a stellar education in a brand new way. Our Support Staff jump to find ways to reach out to students at home and get them food, reach out to read with them and were showing them they care.

Please consider finding a way to reach out to them this week to let them know you see them and appreciate their efforts.

Our Tecumseh Local Staff is one in a million!

Reminders

  • Students need to wear a mask everyday. These need to be supplied by parents. Make sure students have extras in their bag.

  • Student Chromebooks need to come to school each day. They need to be charged, and students need to have the charging cord with them each day.

  • Please make sure your child is only using their device for school related tasks. And keeping it away from younger siblings and animals to help it from being damaged.

Update on State Testing

Our students have been working hard on their State Assessments. We have brought in the virtual students for testing as well as testing our in person students. We still have the Science test to complete. Our 5th Grade will be taking the Science test this week. We will also do our make up testing for absent students.

It is always helpful to have your child here on time, well rested and comfortable on testing days.

Field Trips

NCES School's 2nd and 3rd Grade were able to enjoy field trips this year. All the classes wen to Brukner Nature Center. The students had good experiences, were well behaved. They enjoyed learning about animals, nature and animal habitats. Her are a few pictures of their adventures.

Weekly R Factor Nominees

NCES proudly nominates a few students from each grade level each week. We bring the students to the newsroom where they get to say a big "Thank you" to the staff member who nominated them. We were focusing on the message to Stand up and own your behavior." These students represent NCES and our Tecumseh Local Community proudly!

PTO and Title One Event

Our Elementary PTO and our Title One Staff offered an awesome event called, "Sweeten Your Saturday". The event took place Saturday, April 17. We had many families participate and even more tune in to the event. Thank you for ordering donuts and helping to support our Elementary PTO.

Positive Referrals

The students at NCES are able to receive positive referrals from staff for going above and beyond. We are so proud of our students who have earned positive referrals during the month.

When students receive a positive referral their photo is taken, the receive a bracelet, candy or a pencil. Additionally, students receiving positive referrals are honored as we hang their photo in the hallway of each student receiving a positive office referral and these students are also honored on our morning announcements which can be viewed on our Youtube channel, and their pictures scroll on the TV in the office. It is really exciting for our students.

  • Check out the LINK here to watch the slideshow.

We are up to 181 Positive Referrals!! WAY TO GO KIDS!!!! You are the good example for others! Keep it up the great work.

You will still need to call your child in if they will not be attending school, or doing their online work for the day. We will still need to document attendance. We are marking students with green, yellow and red attendance.
