Professional Development Workshop!

Come join an introduction to Writer's Workshop and learn how it is an ideal setting for working with the Common Core writing standards. Jeff Halstead will share his experience implementing Writer's Workshop with his students.

Bio: Jeff Halstead is an educational trainer, staff developer, writer, and National Board-certified English teacher. He has been involved in professional development on a local, regional and national level for over a decade, training teachers to create rigorous, student-centered instruction. While "Navigating the New Pedagogy:Six Principles that Transform Teaching" is his first book, his articles have been featured in regional and national magazines as well as major newspapers. He received his master's in education from Whitworth University and lives in Spokane, WA.
