Dear All-Star Staff, Parents, Students and Community:
Welcome Back to a new school year 2020-2021. Although not the opening we would like starting school through virtual elearning. We will continue to strive to provide high quality instruction to all of our mini all-stars!
This years school's theme is "Together we can, together we will." With that we will

We look forward to working with you this school year and during these unprecedented times. We will be with you and your family every step of the way to provide the support needed academically, socially, emotionally, and more. We have several staff members at our school ready to assist you in every way possible.

Grab-And-Go Meals Served
Grab-and-Go meals service will be offered on Wednesday, August 19th, the first day of school. Thereafter, meals will be available to families every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM & 3:00 PM-5:00 PM. Students or their parents will be able to pick up multiple meals at a time. Students must have identification to receive meals. Recommended forms of identification include student ID’s, report cards, and birth certificates. Families are encouraged to pick up student meals from their base school for ease of service.
Meal prices will be based on each student’s eligibility. Apply for Free and Reduced priced meals at myschoolapps.com. Families are encouraged to pay online for student meals through myschoolbucks.com. Meal prices for students are as follows:

Parent University: Getting Ready for School and eLearning webinars
As we prepare to begin the new school year through eLearning, we know you have questions. To provide answers, we invite you to join the Parent Community Involvement Task Force and District staff and administrators for our Parent University: Getting Ready for School and eLearning live webinar sessions.
The four events, which will take place between August 12-17, are divided by student groups. They will include step-by-step guidance to help parents assist their students through the school day and information on what to expect once classes begin. District personnel will be available after each presentation to answer questions.

Distance Learning Support for Students and Parents - Learning Never Closes!
As we continue to move towards distance learning in these unprecedented times, we want to share some resources on how to:
1) Access the Clever Launch Pad (source of many resources)
2) Access Canvas (the primary instructional platform for student learning)
3) Plan for the weeks ahead (starting what to do right away)
4) Contact Teachers and When (office hours and availability by grade level detailed below)
The first day of distance online learning is Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Broward County Public Schools will be using the Canvas online learning management system to ensure that the learning never stops! Scholars will have access to:
- live instructions from their teachers
- access to adopted textbooks
- weekly lessons and assignments
- and several other online resources
