Playground Update
As IDPH and state guidelines change, we are working across the district to adjust our protocols for our schools. Starting after Spring Break, students will be allowed on the playground equipment in small groups. They will need to sanitize their hands and wear masks while they play. Teachers at each grade level will set up a system to limit the number of students on the equipment at one time.
Our request up until this time was that parents not allow their children to play on the playground after school so that students don’t get confused about the expectations. Since they will now be allowed to play on the equipment during the school day, parents can feel free to stay after and let their children play. Please be sure to supervise closely if you choose to let them play.

District Subbing Opportunities
It takes more adults to operate schools safely for students during the pandemic. District 303 currently has numerous job openings in a variety of job categories. If you are looking for temporary, part-time, or full-time employment, please visit the D303 Human Resources page to apply for a position.
One of the more flexible positions available is that of a D303 Substitute. You can choose to work, or not work, as your schedule permits. Take a moment and read the Substitute Handbook to see what this job entails.
If you are interested and hold a:
- Bachelor's degree in any field you would qualify to apply for a substitute license with the state which allows you to sub for teachers or teacher assistants. You would apply using THIS link.
- Associate's degree you apply for a Paraprofessional license which only allows you to sub for Teaching assistants. You would apply using THIS link.
- High School diploma you have to take an aptitude test with the KANE ROE office. Once you pass that, you apply for a Paraprofessional license which only allows you to sub for Teaching assistants. You would apply using THIS link.
