PTA Reflections - Theme Contest
The search is on for a future National PTA Reflections theme!
Each state selects five student theme suggestions to advance to national-level judging. National PTA then selects one exceptional theme to inspire creativity for the 2019-2020PTA Reflections program. The student winner will receive $100 and recognition at the Annual National PTA Convention. Theme Search judges look for a focused and clear theme promoting PTA values that is appropriate for all grades and applicable to all arts categories. Past themes are not considered.
To submit your theme suggestions, click the link below. There is no limit to how many different themes you can enter! Deadline for submissions is November 5.
CTMS Math & Science Team
If your student is interested in participating with the CTMS Math Science Team this year, please complete the following:
1) Parents, please fill out the parent information form using the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/655ADUEyLAkjaUh93 - We need all returning and new parents to please complete this so we have an updated list for this year.
2) Students, please join the CTMS Math Science Team Google classroom using the code j3xx2i. If you were a member last year you will not need to join the classroom as it is the same classroom from last year.
We will be sending out information to the parents at the end of this week and hope to start practices next week.
Thank you,

Mrs. Freyou provided us with some information about books for our higher level kiddos that are content appropriate. Thank you, Mrs. Freyou!
Here is some information about reading at a higher level and being conscientious about content appropriate books:
1. http://www.thekidstory.com/books-for-gifted-kids
" Our recommended grade levels are adjusted for high ability readers. For example, a book that is written for typical 12 year olds might be listed here under a younger age – such as 8 or 9. These particular books should be content-safe for the grade level listed, but parental and educator guidance is always suggested, as our recommendations are subjective."
