Soul Café Helpful Hints
It is up to each individual if you want to set up/make coffee before service or during service (I personally feel better if I prep before service)!
**YOU HAVE TO RUN A "TEST POT" OF JUST WATER BEFORE MAKING COFFEE!!!**
Coffee (see instruction sheet in drawer under the coffee maker) typically 2 pots regular and 1 decaf.
If service looks like a “larger” crowd you can make 1 regular pot during soul café.
Treats- usually can be found on top of the soul café cart or on kitchen counter.
At times they may be located in the fridge or freezer,
but we try to let you know if that is the case.
Juice, Milk, & Coffee can be brought to the gathering area on a cart from the kitchen.
You can serve coffee from carafes located underneath island in the kitchen.
Napkins, stirrers, cups, etc should be in the soul café cart. Please make sure the sugar, sweet n low, stirrers, powdered creamer, and napkins are on top of soul café cart to be easily accessible. If something is low you can look in the back kitchen pantry. If you notice something is empty or running low please let Mary or Camilla know.

CALLING ALL NEWSLETTER ITEMS!!!
Chaddock Children’s Adoption Deadline: Sunday, December 2nd
If you would still like to contribute to a child, we are collecting $10 McDonald’s gift cards and cash to go towards some of the children’s stocking stuffers and fillers.
Please return the unwrapped gifts to PUMC no later than Sunday, December 2nd. You can also drop your items off early during week day office hours in the outer office CLEARLY marked. Please bring a duffle bag along with your unwrapped gifts.
2019 Stewardship Campaign Is wrapping up
If you have not yet returned your 2019 Every Member Commitment Stewardship Campaign pledge sheet, do so soon. If you have not received the 2019 Stewardship Campaign Binder or a pledge card in the mail, contact the church office so we can get pledge information (service opportunities and financial pledge info to Prospect in 2019) to you.
Hurricane Disaster Relief
If you would like to donate to this cause, please send/bring your checks to the church. Your checks should be made out to Prospect United Methodist Church with UMCOR # "901670" on the memo line.
Poinsettia Sign-Up
If you would like to purchase a poinsettia to help decorate the church sanctuary during the Christmas season, please sign-up starting THIS SUNDAY, November 18th-December 2nd. Cost of the poinsettias will be $10/plant. Sign-Up Sheet will be available in the gathering area.

HANGING OF THE GREENS & JOINT SERVICE!
Hanging of the Greens is THIS Sunday, November 25th following our JOINT worship service at 9:45 AM.
The United Methodist Men will be serving a light lunch around 11:30 AM. We will plan to decorate after worship and finish up following lunch. The Hanging of the Greens is a great family event and is a wonderful opportunity to fine tune our focus on the Advent season!

Loaves and Fish is a weekly feeding ministry providing a free hot meal, food pantry, worship service, educational assistance, clothing room and medical clinic to those in need each Saturday. Begun in 1994, Loaves & Fish serves from 250 - 375 guests weekly.

Prospect subscribes to the RightNowMinistry (“the Netflix of Christian Bible study”) resource, which provides all of our members with access to 1000’s of video led curriculums including offerings specifically geared towards books of the Bible, Parenting, Marriage, Single Living, Men, Women, Teens, Children, Leadership and Finances from a Christian perspective, and more.
