A message from our Principal


Hello McKay Families,


Welcome to Quarter 4! We are so excited to be welcoming our students and families back to in-person learning in a hybrid model for Quarter 4.


There is much information that supports our successful transition back to school so please review the below information accordingly.


If you have questions or need assistance in any way please call our office directly. We will also have many staff available the first week to support our students and families as we transition back to school.

Ready for In-Person school this week?

1st Day of school checklist:

  • Please bring your mask, Chromebook, charging cord, and a water bottle (or 2).

  • Enter in the nearest door to where you arrive to school

  • Use hand sanitizer as you enter the building

  • Grab breakfast

  • Go to your 1st-period class to eat breakfast

  • Use hand sanitizer when entering each class

  • Lunches: Go to your 3rd-period class, then head to the commons to grab lunch, then return to 3rd period to eat

  • End of the day: There will be a staggered release that teachers guide you through

  • After school: Head directly to practice or club events, or head home.

What day do I start in-person at McKay this week?

  • Tuesday, April 13th - Hybrid Start Grades 9-10 (T/Th Cohort)

  • Wednesday, April 14th - Hybrid Start Grades 9-10 (W/F Cohort)

  • Thursday, April 15th - Hybrid Start Grades 11-12, Continue 9-10 (T/Th Cohort)

  • Friday, April 16th - Hybrid Start Grades 11-12, continue 9-10 (W/F Cohort).

20-21 Student Parking Permit

Class Schedules:

Q4 Student Schedules will be available to students via StudentVue and parents via ParentVue. Check out your classes for Q4 and be ready to attend your cohort days the week of April 12.


Cohort Change Requests:


Cohort Change Requests will end Tuesday, April 6. If you or your family has a need for you to have a cohort change, email your counselor.

Season 3 Athletic Registration:

As a reminder, with the limited number of spectators allowed at athletic competitions this year, all SKPS football/soccer stadiums will provide free streaming to all SKPS families through the end of the school year through the NFHS Network. Streaming is currently available at all high school main stadiums and will be soon be available in all high school main gyms.
