MISSIONARIES TO OUR COMMUNITY
At CCS, we want our students to show the love of Christ wherever they go.
For most people, being a missionary means that you are one of those people that go to another country to tell people about Jesus. Although there is truth to that, is it possible that we can be missionaries right here in our own hometown? The answer to that question is YES!
Every day our students are involved in lots of activities. Every day they encounter people in our town that don't know about Jesus.
Too often we are all guilty of believing that everyone around home is like us. We think they grew up in church or that because there is a church on just about every street corner that they know all about God. Unfortunately this is not true. There are people all around us who don't know and have never been told the truth about God's love for us and the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us.
In many churches this month there will be guest speakers from different mission fields around the world. In fact, this Tuesday our upper school students will be hearing from some that work in Cambodia. As we learn more about missions, our prayer for CCS students is to go out and share their faith wherever they go. Whether they are in school, in town, or in a foreign country.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. -Acts 1:8
