Week 3 Learning!

Online learning is off to a great start! Thank you for your dedication and commitment to helping your child access the online learning opportunities. Please remember that your child’s teacher is here to support you and your child through this process.

For Week 3 of online learning, we are transitioning to campus created activity boards. Our teachers have been working hard to create some engaging activities for your children. We have created a webpage for you to access the Bethke Online Learning. You will probably notice that it looks very similar to the district choice boards that you have already been using. The district choice boards will still be available, but they will serve as supplemental activities to what you find on the Bethke Online Learning Webpage. Your child does not have to complete the district choice board activities unless you would like them to. They should focus on completion of the BETHKE ONLINE LEARNING. Each activity should not take more than about 30 minutes to complete, and your child’s teacher will be available to answer any questions you may have on Monday! Enjoy your weekend!

Please visit https://tinyurl.com/bethkeonline to access your child’s Week 3 Activity Boards.

30 Day Kindness Challenge!

The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted us all in a variety of ways. To combat this challenging time, we are encouraging students and staff to participate in 30 Days of Kindness beginning on Monday, April 6, 2020. Kindness will not stop the spread of the virus, but the hope is to brighten someone’s day and add some positivity to our lives and community. In a time where physical distancing is required, social and emotional connectedness is even more vital to a person’s well-being.

To spread kindness more widely, share pictures and posts using the hashtags #deepkindness, #KatyCommUNITY, and #KatyStrong. We would like to highlight students and staff across the district for their participation in the 30 Days of Kindness. See the challenges below for the first 7 days!

Stay Connected with your Teacher through Zoom!

As we begin online learning, it will be important to stay connected to your teacher and the class! Each teacher will hold "office hours" for 30 minutes each morning and 30 minutes each afternoon. These will not be required, but will be a time to ask questions, share learning and stay connected. Each teacher will be sending a letter to you via email with their "office hours" and the link that you will use to access the online interaction.
