Standout: with Strong Hearts and Strong Minds
Mission Statement
At Springhill Elementary we promise to value each other in a safe and encouraging learning environment that supports a growth mindset for all students, staff, and community to achieve success.
Day One ... One Word ... One more Round
Day one begins Tuesday. Day one of our One Word school year. We have some familiar faces coming back to us and we have lots of new faces joining Springhill this year ... from our brand new Kindergarteners to multiple new students in each grade level. Our task of building champions begins on Tuesday for each student, new or familiar, who walks through the doors of Springhill. Some come to us as a blank canvas, just as our Champion started on the first day of retreat. Some come to us wearing visible and invisible barriers/opponents. We worked together and used our Alliances to cover our Champion with words of what we wanted to equip them with. Words that would help them fight and overcome .... to be a success, to be a Champion. While that work was much easier, as we chose our words and simply placed them on our Champion. The work we begin on Tuesday will be much harder. It will be tough and emotional most days and the opponents will want us to quit, to give up and use them as EXCUSES! While it is not easy to continue to fight, I know that we will. I know that we will push ourselves and we will attack every single day with the urgency that our Champions deserve.
Every. Single. Day.
One More Round. For Kids.
Let's Start Tuesday!
One More Round
For Kids
Let's remember our real "opponents" each day, the barriers we face are real but let's show up everyday and go ONE MORE ROUND ... for kids
No Excuses! The Answers are in the room!
Springhill Champions
I loved seeing our students placing their faces into our "vision" of a Springhill Champion! It's going to be a great year of adding tools to our tool boxes and building!
Thank you Mrs. Glenn for your hard work on our Champion!!
StandOUT Award
We will be passing the torch this year as our StandOUT award. Remember the purpose of this award is to get you out in the building watching and learning from others. Alliances are one of our greatest tools! What a great way to get out and build those while also getting a chance to celebrate the amazing staff in our building. We will announce on Friday who will be getting the first StandOUT award!
Another huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Baker and her brother in law for making us this awesome torch!!
