Big picture

Dear Charger Families,

It has been wonderful to have our students on campus all together 4 days a week these past few weeks. It has been a big lift, and everyone has come together to make it happen safely and successfully. Thank you for your incredible support of our ADL school community throughout this challenging year.

Thank you also for the generous and thoughtful Teacher Appreciation Week this month! It was a truly lovely and joyful week. On behalf of our entire staff, thank you so much!

Author Angie Thomas Meets Vermont Students by Zoom-May 27

Angie Thomas, author of the bestselling book The Hate U Give, will join Vermont middle and high schools via Zoom on Thursday, May 27. The Hate U Give has been one of ADL's most popular and beloved books since it was published in 2017. Families have access to our school library if you would like to read with us! Homeschooled students and those learning remotely during this pandemic year will also be granted access to this free event, which is sponsored by Vermont Humanities and the Vermont Department of Libraries, with funding from the Institute for Museum and Library Services, Vermont Library Association, Vermont School Libraries Association, and the Vermont Partnerships for Literacy and Learning.
