Bright Futures Education Partnership
Bright Futures
The Bright Futures Education Partnership is a community partnership seeking to make progress in education outcomes for local students, from cradle to career. Soledad Unified School District is an active member in the Bright Futures Partnership. And Soledad High School has been an active participant in the Bright Futures Goal 6 which states that high school graduates be prepared for college. The goal is to increase A to G college requirement completion from 40% to 60%. At a meeting held on December Bright Futures presented a new initiative to more visibly promote the A-G requirements at schools and in school communities. The “A-G” label will become “Achieving Greatness: Your Future Depends Upon You”. A to G messaging will include communication blueprints for administrators, counselors, teachers, parents and students. At the meeting, Soledad High School was recognized as one of three Monterey County high schools which have shown significant growth in student attainment of A-G requirements. This success can be attributed to the work of the entire Soledad HS staff.
