Next week the PTA will be hosting our Founder's Day Celebration on May 19th. Please join us for a delicious dinner and fun meeting. This will be an in-person dinner and PTA meeting.
Our 3rd-5th graders will be starting CAASPP testing on May 18th. A letter was emailed and sent home to our 3rd-5th grade students last week explaining the assessments along with a schedule. Students should get plenty of rest, and eat a healthy breakfast during our testing dates. Please try to schedule all appointments in the afternoon so your child does not miss the testing window. Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
The observance originated in 1978 when a joint congressional resolution established Asian/Pacific American Heritage Week. The first 10 days of May were chosen to coincide with two important milestones in Asian/Pacific American history: the arrival in the United States of the first Japanese immigrants on May 7, 1843, and the contributions of Chinese workers to the building of the transcontinental railroad completed on May 10, 1869.
