From the Principal...

Hello November!

I can't believe we just completed our 1st quarter of the school year already. Time sure flies when we're having fun and enjoying our new normal school routines.

As we begin the 2nd quarter, I'd like to inform everyone that we now have three outdoor learning spaces for our in person students. Thanks to a loan of two tipi's from Jug Mountain Ranch, we now have two additions to our grounds for outside/open air learning. We continue to utilize our outdoor classroom as well. Please consider reading below all about our new air filtration system installed in every classroom as well. We are committed to keep everyone safe and healthy in the building as we continue this 'yellow plan' routine.

We thank you for your continued help with all of these COVID safety precautions:

  • Drop Off & Pick Up through the drive up lane only (no need to get out of your vehicle)
  • Curb Side Check In/Check Out if you need to drop off or pick up anything (634-2219)
  • Keeping those sick kids home and for communicating with our office when they are sick/absent.
  • Masks/Face Coverings required by everyone in the building
  • Social Distance guidelines continue
  • Hand Washing upon entry into building and all learning rooms
  • Sending in water bottles for kids to fill
  • Only district staff and students allowed in buildings
  • Campus/Playground/Bike Loop is closed M-F during school hours - even for the kids who are 'off' on those days.

MDSD Online families, please check your email for an additional newsletter sent out earlier this week.

Take a moment this month to appreciate what you are most thankful for and enjoy the joy of learning with your child(ren). I am especially grateful for your continued support at BRMES!

Mrs. Berg

Sign Up for Parent Teacher Conferences {Nov. 5 & 6}

Use this link to book your Parent Teacher Conference for either November 5th from 2:00-7:45 or November 6th from 8:00-11:45 or call the office (634-2219) and we can help.

Due to COVID concerns, we will be conducting conferences differently than usual. Please follow these guidelines:

  • Masks and 6 ft. distancing is mandated while inside the building
  • Parents/Guardians should limit the number of family members they bring to the school (we'd prefer no siblings)
  • Please be timely in coming in for your pre-scheduled conference time only
  • Two choices: 1. Select a virtual Microsoft Teams conference OR 2. select an in person time slot on the schedule link
  • Book Fair this year will be all online (see link below)
  • Online K-1 Mrs. Wolf's class, and Online 2-3 Mrs. Weber's class, please note the different dates/times.

We look forward to meeting with 100% of our families!

Our School Counselor

Mr. Davydov (Mr. D.) is our BRMES school guidance counselor. He works with students to ensure they are enjoying school and accessing their education to the best of their ability. The social and emotional well being of students is his most important priority. By utilizing a comprehensive Response to Behavioral Intervention (RTBI) program that is bolstered by an evolving Positive Behavior and Intervention Support (PBIS) system, Mr. Davydov is able to help parents, teachers, and students make data based decisions to successfully accomplish students' social emotional goals.

Check ins with students, group and individual counseling sessions, and classroom discussions are some of the activities that Mr. D. uses on a regular basis. Counseling sessions can include training in friendship skills, anxiety mitigation, executive functioning, divorce or grieving issues.

Contact Mr. D. at for any counselling needs.

Lost & Found

Ask your child about any lost items since school started or let us know if you see something from the pictures below that looks like you know where it belongs!

Powerschool is an excellent tool for parents to keep track of their child's daily schedule, attendance, and grades. Download the Powerschool app to get started. Our code is: XLLD. Call us if you are needing further assistance @ 634-2219.

New Air System

Our MDSD has purchased a new air filtration for all classrooms. We are currently installing a device in every furnace that constantly creates millions of + and - charged ions that "scrub" the air. We are essentially creating fresh outside air without having to heat it. Ions are naturally occurring. That is what gives the outdoors the "fresh outdoor smell". This device does not create ozone.

Please see the link below to understand fully or scan the window sticker on the front of BRMES (a QR code) or visit this link of the new system.
