2nd Nine Weeks
It's the most wonderful (and busy) time of the year!
With Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner, life is about to get really busy. With that being said, we want to take this time to acknowledge how scary life can be at times (Halloween), but we sure are grateful (Thanksgiving) that we have such a tight-knit community here in Boerne ISD to help us through the tough times. And, we sure hope everyone can take a deep breath at the end of the year and enjoy the spirit of the holidays (Christmas) with family and friends.
8th Graders are Going to High School Next Week!
October 18th - 8th grade CTE (Career and Technical Education) field trip to Champion HS
All 8th grade students will have the opportunity to learn more about the various career pathways offered through both of our wonderful high schools. Students will be shuttled by bus to the campuses and spend the entire morning there meeting staff and exploring their options for next year and beyond.

Have you heard about our Mindful Morning Mondays???
As you might know, middle school is a challenging time for students. We see many adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, and poor coping skills as a response to stress. Studies show a higher level of emotional well-being in adolescents who practice mindfulness.
So, what does mindfulness look like for a middle school student? It can be just taking a few minutes out of your day to take a break, be present, and focus on the regulation of your breath and emotions. Reflect on your feelings before you act upon them.
Our Mindful Mornings are in the library every Monday from 8:00-8:30 and we are having quite the turn out! Mrs. Culp has been getting our kids focused, calm and ready to start the week. The kids are really loving it and our group grows bigger every week!
