Dear Families,
Well, we finally nailed the perfect day for our Swan Lake Walk – wow! Everyone was ear-to-ear smiles on Monday as they enjoyed the sunshine and the trail presentations by Mr. Calkins (maple syrup), Mr. Cook (skulls, hides, and water), and two Rockefeller Park staff members (rocks and minerals; skulls). Thank you as well to the Foundation for the pretzels and water, and to our parent volunteers and teachers for their supervision and good cheer. Tuesday brought a busy day of parent-teacher conferences – I hope you had engaging sessions (albeit brief) with your children’s teachers and have charted a path for the year ahead. Please know you can always reach out to discuss any matters that come up during the year – we pride ourselves on our open lines of communication and it's one of the many elements that makes Poco special.

Today is the last day of the first quarter. Our goal is to have report cards loaded up into the parent portal by next Friday evening. The second quarter begins this Monday.

VETERANS DAY TOMORROW – NOVEMBER 11
Please remember that school will be CLOSED tomorrow – Friday – for Veterans Day, in honor of all veterans who served in our country’s Armed Forces. We sincerely thank you for your service and sacrifice, and we would not be where we are today without you and those who came before you.
