K-5 Student iPads for MAP testing

It's getting close to time for us to gather up the iPads for testing. I am putting a "K-5 iPad Preparation for MAP Testing" page in your mailbox today.

It is VERY important that everyone fully charge their keyboards and their iPads before they box them up to send them to 5th grade on Friday, April 15. This includes the external keyboards that Kindergarten and first grade have been storing in their crates! Please be sure that all keyboards AND iPads are fully charged by next Friday, April 15!

If all goes as planned.... Kindergarten, you will get your iPads back on Wednesday, April 27 and everyone will have their iPads back on Friday, April 29.

Years of Service

According to district records the following staff will receive service awards at the Teacher Appreciation Banquet on April 28.

Karly Berendzen- 10 years

Holly Schaefer- 10 years

Mary Thorne- 25 years

If you believe this information is incorrect or if you think you should receive a years of service award, please contact Linda Armstrong ( and Terra Parris. (

It's getting to be that time of year.....

It's that time of year when things get crazy busy with activities. Carey takes a lot of calls from parents asking questions about things that are going on: programs, fundraising, field trips, etc. If you are doing something and you send special instructions home with kids (ie permission slips, practice times, due dates), please be sure to give Carey and Lyndsey a copy of that so they can answer questions. Thanks!

Apples for Teacher Finalist

Congratulations to Mrs. Wood who is a finalist for the KPLA Apples for Teacher Award. She will be recognized at a banquet on April 14.
