Dear Penngrove families,
Parents, guardians, trusted adults: I have nothing but a thankful heart, an abundance of gratitude, and the deepest appreciation for you all. "Thank you" does not seem adequate to describe my deepest affection for the way in which you are supporting your students during Distance Learning. I know it is not easy. I know some days feel unbearable. Keep breathing, keep giving yourself breaks, keep reminding yourself that your relationship with your children comes first, always. I am grateful for you.
To our students: Wow. You absolutely amaze me. I am grateful for your willingness to try new things, to take risks, to go outside of your comfort zones, and to trust your teachers. Thank you for listening to the adults who are helping you with Distance Learning. I know it's not always fun or easy. I miss each of you so much. I am so grateful for you.
To our TK and kindergarten superstars: You are the real MVPs! Seriously, starting your education during a pandemic?! I am just so proud of each of you! There are so many COOLER things about Penngrove than Zoom and we can't wait to show you how to learn and play and create once you get to come to campus. We will make up for lost time. I am grateful for you.
To our #PennPTA Board and 6th Grade Outdoor Ed Crew: Thank you for not giving up on all the "fun" when it feels so easy to do so. You spread love, joy, light, hope, and excitement into this community. Every event feels like a trip to Disneyland these days! Thank you for working hard with a ton of restrictions to keep our community together. I am so grateful for you.
To Team Penn, you are a breed of your own. And it is an honor to serve our community alongside you. Thank you for setting the bar high for yourselves, for sacrificing time with your own families, and for being daily role models for our students. Your grace, compassion, and empathy leaves me wonderstruck on a daily basis. You will forever be heroes to this generation. I am beyond grateful for you.
And one outstanding thing we can celebrate together...we ALL get a break next week! Soak it up and stay healthy.
Thanks for giving me hope.
