Bonillas Family Update
12/11/22
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Thank you to parents and friends that visited us this past Friday for our assembly. We were extremely excited to take a whole group photo using a drone to celebrate our B letter grade. Please click on our Facebook link below to see the video!
As we approach the upcoming winter break, students tend to become more excited as the break nears. Please remind your student to continue to have positive and kind behavior.
Have a wonderful and safe week,
Frankie Schiavone

Health Office Update
- Please make sure your child is up to date on their immunizations. Remember to schedule an appointment for your child’s upcoming 11-year-old immunizations. A notice will be mailed home if your child is not up to date. The Pima County Health Department Clinics offers immunization services on the weekdays with no appointment needed. For more information, please call our health office 520-232-6616.
Misc. Updates
- Tardies and Early pick-up both contribute to lost instructional time in the classroom. Students who are tardy or picked up early will receive a Lunch and Learn per Bonillas’ policy. If students are sick, they will need to provide a doctor's note to the front office.
- Registration and Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is open! Please complete registration for next year. If you have new family or friends that are applying to Bonillas, please make sure to put Bonillas as the first choice to be in the first-choice lottery in January. The first lottery drawing is January 23rd. Have your application in before January 13th to be in the first drawing.
Family Engagement
- As we are getting into the colder weather, we are noticing a lot of jackets ending up in the lost and found. We recommend that all families write their child's name somewhere on the inside of the jacket to help us keep track of who they belong to so we can return them to the correct student. Thank you so much for your help!
- LOST AND FOUND is located in our Caring Café next to the stage. If you know your student has misplaced their jacket, please ask them to look in the Café during breakfast or lunch.
- For family assistance please feel free to contact our Family Liaison Ms. Maria Ruiz via email at maria.ruizacosta@tusd1.org or via phone 520-232-6622.
