Different Types of Security Devices
The types of security devices I will be talking about are: Door locks (deadbolt and spring), Door viewers, Window locks, Alarm systems, and Biometric Systems.
Dead Bolt Lock
A lock opened by turning a knob or key, instead of spring action. Can be on both sides of the door.
Spring Lock
A type of lock that has a spring-loaded bolt. Only requires a key to open.
Door Viewers
A small hole installed in entrance doors that allow people to see who's at the door before they let them in.
Window Locks
A type of lock that secures windows.
Alarm Systems
A security system that connects to windows and doors. Sounds an alarm when one is forcefully opened.
Bio-metric Systems
A lock that opens with recognition of one's features such as fingerprints or the person's iris.
