ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
The 2015-2016 Athlete of the Year campaign, powered by Huntsville Hospital Sports Center, TOC Sports and D1 Sports is underway. They are looking for high school senior student athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom and in our community.
From September to April, a panel of judges selects one Athlete of the Week. Applicants must be a high school senior, have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and display a history of athletic and academic accomplishments, as well as community/civic involvement.
All weekly winners are invited to a banquet held in their honor in May, and two students are selected as Athletes of the Year. The two Athletes of the Year each receive a $1,000 scholarship.
To nominate the next Athlete of the Year, you can either:

Did you know that Free 2 Teach distributed over $246,000 in free supplies to Madison County teachers between July and January of this school year? Your participation as a runner or volunteer will help them continue to serve Madison County teachers and students.

Shelton State will host Preview Day on February 20, 2016 for all prospective students and their guest to learn about the unique experiences of the community college.

It is easy to raise funds for your non-profit or school group at The Chill Factory®. They will dedicate four hours to your group to raise funds with their help. Your organization invites the public to attend, they provide the treats. Your organization will receive 20% of all yogurt sales to put towards your goal. Non-profit status is required for community groups. School groups must have permission from the school principal to fundraise.
