Classroom Guidance: This month’s classroom guidance topic is citizenship. Citizenship is having the desire to help out in my community and also caring about others who live and work around me. I show good citizenship when I volunteer my time in my neighborhood, my community and my school. Please reinforce this topic at home with your child. We will also be discussing Determination this month. This is something we all need work on in school and at home. Please talk to your child about this also.
Banana Splits: If your child is participating in the banana splits group please visit with them about the group. Taking the time to contribute will really make the group successful. Please always feel free to call with questions or concerns about the group.
Holiday Help: If your family is in need of some holiday help please contact me. I have some resources that can provide a little help. faustm@usd385.org or 316-218-4620 ext. 2
Happy Thanksgiving! ☺
Cottonwood Fundraising
With the support of PTO and our generous Cottonwood families, we have been able to add iPads and computers, utilize BrainPop, add playground equipment and trees, as well as support for AR parties and school-wide assemblies (KC Wolf)
This year, we hope to add 3-5 more Chromebooks in each of our classrooms, which are about $300 each. We want our students prepared for middle school and beyond and we believe that creating, writing and communicating will serve our students needs. Here is a link for our Fundraising efforts for the year. Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or input.
