Have a Great Weekend!
Dear Kennebunk High School Families:
What a weird week it has been with respect to weather. After having relatively no snow for much of the winter we were pounded with snow, rain, sleet, and ice. Many of you lost power - I hope that all has been restored to this point and things are back to normal in your households. I'm sure it was a tough week, but by now the worst of it should be over. Hopefully!
It was nice to see the students back in the building after 3 consecutive snow days. I missed seeing them. They were able to persevere through the days off and the postponement of some midterm exams. I was proud of them for how they were focused and ready to go on Wednesday.
It was nice to finally start the 2nd semester yesterday. Many students are excited for new courses and learning.
You will see below that the Debate team won a State Championship over the weekend. In between storms they were able to drive up to Bangor and take home the title. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Have a great weekend!
Identification:
When entering the building during school hours visitors will be required to scan their license into our Indent-a-Kid software. This is a precaution that all schools are required to abide by.

State Champions
The team traveled to Bangor on Saturday, January 21st to compete in the State Championships for Debate.
In earning the victory they overwhelmed their opponents in route to a convincing 1st place finish. This is the 1st State Championship in Debate since the 2019-2020 school year. Kennebunk High School had previously won 3 championships.
Annie Murer was the overall individual State Champion as well. Way to go Annie!
Congratulations to the team on a well deserved victory. We are all very proud of you.

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2024,
RE: JUNIOR MEETINGS
It is that time of year when the KHS counseling staff prepare to meet with juniors to offer resources and support for long-term planning/career and college exploration. The counselors are excited to share the resources that we have accumulated. The following folder is full of helpful information as you begin to plan for life after high school: Junior Year Post-Secondary Planning.
Planning classes for senior year is another important milestone for each student and therefore we have included information on course selections for your senior year: Graduation Requirements & Senior Schedule:
Please take some time to review these resources. The counselors are available to answer any questions and help with any planning and preparation you may need. If after reviewing the information you would find it helpful to meet with your school counselor, let us know and we will schedule an individual in person or virtual meeting. Please email your counselor to schedule a meeting.
We look forward to working with you and supporting you as you plan for life after KHS!!
Sincerely,
