Classroom Happenings
ELA- Mrs. Day & Mrs. Goosen
Students have started their blog and should be writing away. Each week we are asking students to complete 3 (proficient) or more (advanced) blogs per week and to use the skills we are teaching them that week. This week we worked on description. Next week we are focusing on dialogue.
Students should be reading 15 minutes a day. Here is a link to the various reading resources we have provided:
Science- Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
Students spent the week focused on animal behaviors that help both the individual animal and the species to survive. After learning about general behaviors, they chose a specific animal and researched behaviors specific to that animal.
Next week we will learn about factors that influence the growth and development of both plants and animals.
Social Studies- Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
Our first round of artifact creation is done and we are ready to vote. Students are relying on the research they did in the first week to complete these tasks. Even students that have been eliminated will still be creating these artifacts for their historical figure.
Ask your child to show you their bracket.
