Eagle's Nest
The official e-newsletter of Corona Elementary
December 2, 2020.
I would like to start this month’s message by wishing all our Corona parents, students and staff a safe, happy and restful Winter Break (December 18-January 1). There is no doubt that we will be recognizing the holiday season very differently from other times, but the essence of giving our best to others will and must shine through. I want to acknowledge everyone’s efforts during our current Online Learning format and recognize the improvements we are seeing in learning under this new and sometimes difficult way of doing things. This learning is definitely taking place by all of us, young and old. It is our determination that will get us through this together. In addition, as we embark on the New Year, we are given many opportunities to take advantage of a fresh start and set goals to accomplish that will make our situations better for our loved ones and ourselves. Whether it is improving our health, learning something new, or going to bed earlier, the New Year can be a fresh start. On behalf of the entire staff at Corona Elementary I would like to wish you the Happiest of Holidays and a most pleasant start to the New Year!

Ms. Roberta Crawford
Health Aide
Hello Corona families,
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. My name is Roberta Crawford and I have been working here at Corona Elementary School as a Health Assistant for over 2 years. I provide first aid and health services as needed, contact parents about student's illness or injuries, input all immunizations and all Hearing and Vision Screenings online to comply with state regulations, support school office personnel in general tasks, as well as provide secretarial coverage when needed. I enjoy traveling during the summer break. I also love going to the movies and shopping. I just want you to know that we miss our typical day to day school routine, but most of all, we miss "our kids" like crazy. Be safe and wash your hands. God bless you and your family.

Students will learn they can reach positive agreements and strengthen their relationships with others
Register for the Ontario 5K Reindeer Run & 1K Dash
Corona families, please plan to join us for the 8th Annual Reindeer Run and Rudolph Dash to support Promise Scholars This event will be VIRTUAL and held on Saturday, Dec. 12th. Take part from the comfort of your home or a local park trail. Our virtual event is a fun way to exercise with family, take a walk around the block with your dog dressed up in a holiday outfit, or jog around the neighborhood to support our students through Promise Scholars.
Tag us on Instagram or Twitter @OntMontPS with photos of you and your family dressed up in holiday gear or your dog friend on the day of the virtual event for chances to win prizes.
