PE Swim Information
Triton Families,
All PE classes will swim on the following days:
Friday 4/5, Monday 4/8, Monday 4/15, Tuesday 4/16, and Thursday 4/18.
Students are responsible for bringing their swim suit and a towel in a plastic bag, daily. There is no locker space dedicated for wet clothing.
Since we are swimming during school time, students must be modestly covered. Swimsuit requirements:
- Students must wear actual swimsuits. No cotton clothing is allowed as cotton clogs the pool filters.
- Girls need to wear a one piece bathing suit. A two piece suit can be worn, but must be covered by a rash guard. Girls may wear board shorts over their suits, if they wish.
- Boys need to wear swim trunks or board shorts. Boys may also wear rash guards.
- Students are encouraged to bring goggles.
- Students with shoulder length or longer hair need to wear it tied back or wear a swim cap.
- Please label all towels, clothes and items!
Students will be working on Aquatic Safety Skills, improvement of basic swimming strokes, as well as cardiovascular fitness. The pool is fully staffed with qualified lifeguards and water safety instructors on deck.
Students unable to swim due to illness or injury must bring a parent note to be excused.
*Students missing swim days will be expected to makeup swim days.
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
CMS PE DEPT

2019-2020 8th Grade East Coast Trip Information Night
April 11, 2019 at 5:00pm in CMS Library
The Trip is Spring Break 2020
Dear 7th Grade Parents and Students,
I am excited to again be leading a group of Coronado Middle School students on an exciting WorldStrides program to Williamsburg, VA, Washington, D.C., and New York, NY. This year’s trip will take place during the 2019-2020 school year over Spring Break . On this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, students will explore our nation's most important historical sites and experience incomparable learning moments. This trip will enrich the learning experience of students, however, it is not a school activity nor a school sponsored trip.
There will be a trip information meeting to discuss this wonderful opportunity and provide time for you to ask questions on April 11, 2019 at 5:00 PM at CMS in the library.
Sincerely,
Ananda Dejarnette
East Coast Trip Program Leader
