Letter From The Principal
30/April/2021
Dear Families,
Happy Sunday Roadrunners!
Happy Mother's Day to all our Camino Real mother's! Many great wishes that your day was filled with lots of joyful memories.
This newsletter contains many invitations to camps brought to you by our high schools, as well as girl scouting from local troops.
Enclosed in this newsletter is information about device pick up from all Camino Real students. I attached the letter from our Media Specialist, Gina Fiaschetti. More information will be going out very soon.
Morning drop has not changed. Parents CANNOT park on Las Brisas Boulevard and walk their children to the cross walk. This protocol was part of the this year's Covid safety procedure. Parents must drive through the front curb and drop off their child. If we want to make this process quicker, it is imperative that your child is ready to get off the car. They must have their backpacks and lunches ready to go.
Remember to take your child's temperature. Keep your child home if they are sick. If anyone at home has tested Covid positive, your child must quarantine. They cannot come to school, even if they are not sick. Call Nurse Scott if you have questions or concerns about your child's illness. If you are not sure if you should send your child to school or keep them home, Nurse Scott can help.
Have a terrific week!
If you have any questions or concerns, please email or call at yvette.soliz@hayscisd.net, or (512) 268-8505.
Sincerely,
Yvette Soliz, Principal

Device Collection
Dear Roadrunner Families,
On Friday, May 21, 2021 we will be collecting school-issued devices and chargers from our in-person students. It is important for us to get these devices and chargers back so they can be tested, cleaned, updated and ready for the 2021-2022 school year. Please make sure to send your student to school with the device AND the charger. Click the link below for a list of charges if the device or charger is lost or damaged.
For virtual learners, device collection will be on Friday, May 28, 2021 between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
11:00-12:00: 4th and 5th Grades
12:00-1:00: 2nd and 3rd Grades
1:00-2:00: EE, Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Grade
If these times do not work for your family, please call to schedule an appointment to drop off the device and charger. Call 512-268-8505 and ask for Ms. Fiaschetti or Ms. Delgado to set up a time.
Thank you in advance for your help in getting our devices and chargers back to CRES!

Attendance Awards Incentives
We have attendance incentives for students to show up to school everyday, unless Nurse Scott says, "stay home", your child should be in school.
We are rewarding students to attend school everyday for the next 25 days. In-Person students must be at school every day, unless otherwise advise. Virtual learners must log-on daily, participate, and turn in daily assignments to be counted present.
Perfect attendance means no tardies, no early pick-ups, at school everyday and on time. For virtual learners, prefect attendance means, logging on time, participating and turning in daily assignments.
