Annual member recruitment drive had happened from 8th June to 22nd June. Kickstarting by engaging students during Minggu Mesra Kampus'14, we managed to get an amazing number of total 606 sign-ups. Thanks to the team and the encouraging responses from the students, our info session on 12th June successfully achieved another great height with the highest turn ups of 180 at one info session.
Followed by a series of intense assessment, a group of youth with great potential and capability has been chosen out of the crowd. Let's give a big welcome to the 55 young leaders who joined the AIESEC family!
Hosted by AIESEC in Malaysia, National Convention is an annual conference which serves as a kick-off conference for leaders of AIESEC in the country. From 2nd July to 7th July, 22 leaders from LC UTP, consisted of Executive Board, Team Leaders and Senior Executives proudly participated in NATCON held in The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, located in Semenyih, Selangor.
Together with leaders from 13 Local Committees and Specialized Units all around Malaysia, the direction and strategies for AIESEC in Malaysia term 14/15 has been set and planned out to achieve a legacy which will never fade. And of course, the experience and outcome of NATCON are truly impressive with the active participation of every delegate.
Not forget to mention that AIESEC in UTP has awarded for The Best Performing Outgoing-GCDP Department 13/14 and The Best Performing Finance & Legalities Department 13/14 in AIESEC in Malaysia Award Night (AMAN). Kudos to the teams!
To magnify the fascination of cultural diversity, Project Management team held the first ever Global Village in UTP campus in collaboration with oGCDP and STI Awareness Campaign on 16th and 17th July at Pocket D Foyer. Exchange participants from Korea, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong and Netherland had involved themselves actively to make Global Village happen.
Global Village managed to gain huge attention from the students in campus. The passion of EPs in showcasing and sharing their own cultures to the students even brought the event to be extremely engaging. Not only received plenty of encouraging feedbacks, we also managed to get another 40 sign-ups for Global Ambassador Program throughout the event.
