This Week at Berryton...

Buffalos,

We have had a great few days back at school and students and staff have gotten back into routines and focus on learning. A few notes regarding this week at Berryton:

  • Congratulation to Emma Joens- Every school district submits an elementary and secondary candidate who has shown excellence in teaching after the completion of their first year. Shawnee Heights' candidates both were selected as winners for these awards and they competed with many other great teachers. We are so proud of our own Emma Joens, first grade teacher for winning this award.

  • Welcome New Buffalos- Our Dean of Students, Mr. Ritchey and I walked around and met 9 new students that have recently joined our BES family.

  • Thank You Mr. Austin- Our Head Custodian, Mr. Austin Smith has accepted the job of Custodial Supervisor for the district and his last official day at BES will be Monday. We are sad to not have him at BES daily but excited for this leadership opportunity.

  • Slick Sidewalks and Car Rider Dismissal- Our staff work hard to safely and quickly load car riders each afternoon. Right now the median is very icy so it is taking us longer to load each student into their vehicle. Thanks for your patience!

Stay Safe and Warm This Weekend,

Mrs. Bervert

About Me

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
