Mitten Project Begins
Staff and students of Doyle Elementary School will be participating in a “Giving Project” again this year. Our goal is to provide food and gifts for Doyle families who need extra support.
Starting November 25, there will be a display of colorful mittens on the wall inside the main entrance of Doyle. Each mitten describes a special gift for a child or adult who is a recipient of the project.
If your family would like to purchase a gift for this project, please stop in and visit Doyle to select a mitten. After you take a mitten, you should buy the gift item listed, wrap it, and attach the mitten to the gift, so that it can be distributed properly.
All gifts need to be brought to Doyle by
Thursday, December 12, 2013.
If your family would rather donate a monetary gift, please make checks payable to the Doyle Elementary School Activity Account. This money will be used to purchase extra food items or other gifts, as needed.
Thank you for your support in making an effort to help members of our Doyle community.
If you have any questions, please call Tracy Kowalchick at 267-893-4335.

Philly Brick Fest LEGO Fan Festival
Held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 26–27, 2014 at the The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, festival-goers are invited to celebrate all things LEGO. Huge creations made from LEGO bricks will be on display. Organizations such as First LEGO League, TEACH FLEET, and Bricks4Kidz will also be on-hand to promote the educational benefits LEGO, and multiple vendors will also be onsite selling LEGO-centric wares.
For many, the fascination with the little plastic blocks known as LEGO begins in childhood and endures into adulthood. The custom creations and constructions merely increase in size along with the person. Philly Brick Fest provides a venue for LEGO lovers of all sizes to come celebrate their mutual affection, build new creations, and see some truly awesome LEGO sculptures. Replicas of Navy battleships sail across a bed of blue bricks, while entire cities bustle with hundreds of mini figures, each dressed appropriately for his or her mini career. Come see how these little plastic bricks open up a world of learning, imagination, and creativity.

Eagle's Pride
We are proud of our good citizens, Alex and Hannah:
Friday, November 15, Hannah and Alex Wood participated in a food packing event to benefit Stop Hunger Now! During 2 hours, many volunteers at Doylestown Methodist Church helped to pack 13,000 dry packet meals! We were happy to learn that the meals are getting shipped to the Philippines. It was a fun night to help those in need.
