Principal's Message
Welcome Back CV Family,
I am very excited about the opportunity to return to Campo Verde to lead and serve within our community. Campo is a very special place, and I understand the expectations and level of excellence that we all strive to achieve here. Our plan is to exceed those expectations, reach more students, and serve our mission of Every Person, Every Day! This newsletter is an excellent source of information and is linked on our website for you to go back and refer to at your convenience. Typically I will highlight important information that is contained within the newsletter or information I want to personally share with our school community in the format of Three Dots from Mr. Dumas.
Three Dots from Mr. Dumas:
This newsletter has a great deal of information, but more detailed information will be coming before we begin the school year. Please look for the second back-to-school newsletter in the very near future.
Student schedules should be “live” in Infinite Campus (IC). More detailed information is below and should be reviewed if you have any questions or concerns.
Link Crew’s Freshman Orientation is 8/3 from 7:30 am to 12:15 pm. All incoming students should take advantage of this opportunity to become acquainted with our campus, make connections with other students, teachers, and student leaders. More information is available below.
We are here to serve and support our students, and we are looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year. If we can ever be of any assistance, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards,
Mr. Tyler Dumas

Schedules
Student Schedules
Tentative student schedules are now available to view in the Student Portal.
Click here for instructions to our Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Students and parents are encouraged to utilize the Infinite Campus App to access their schedule. (*Please note that balancing of class size and minor adjustments may still be made by the registration office throughout the month of July.)
Online Schedule Change Form
Please review your schedule. If a correction is needed, please fill out the Schedule Change Form. We are asking that you do not email counselors directly for schedule changes, but instead use the form, providing a reliable email and phone number for communication purposes. Our goal is to efficiently and equitably meet the needs of each of our students. Please remember that counselors are unable to make lunch and teacher changes.
The online schedule change form will close on Thursday, July 29th in order to finalize schedules for the first day of school. If there is a scheduling conflict beyond this date, it will need to be addressed directly with the student’s counselor on the first day of school during the period of the conflict.
First Day of School Schedule Procedures
All students should access Infinite Campus on or after Monday, August 2nd, to print or screenshot updated schedules. This is the schedule that will be used on the first day of school.
If a student does not have access to Infinite Campus, students can pick up a printed copy of their schedule in the library on the first day of school.
Release Time Forms
Students that have a release time on their schedule will need to complete the Release Time Form and return it to the front desk within the first week of school. The Release Time Form is available at the front desk.

Parking Permit
Due to limited availability, parking permits are issued on a first come, first served basis to licensed senior, junior or sophomore. Any student caught parking on campus without a parking permit will lose their ability to get a parking permit. Students found parking on campus will receive a warning sticker. After car has been stickered three times, security will be putting a boot on the car. Parent/Guardian will be required to meet with administration prior to removal of boot.
Parking permits will not be pro-rated, the cost is $60.00 regardless of when the parking permit is purchased. When permits are sold out there will be a wait list, students wanting a permit will need to request to be placed on the waiting list and will be notified if a permit becomes available. Prior to receiving parking permit, students must complete and return the attached Parking Rules and Regulations when picking up a permit. Please read, sign and return with payment or receipt to Campo Verde High School.
Prepaid parking permits will be available for pickup on Monday, August 2nd and Tuesday, August 3rd, from 8 am to Noon in the front lobby. After that permits are available for pick up before school, during lunches or after school in the bookstore.

Students are not allowed to carry medication with them at school unless the use of the following medication is required: epi-pens, inhalers, and diabetic emergency medication. However, these items must FIRST be checked in and accompanied by the appropriate form at the Health Office.
Medications may only be brought to school by a parent/guardian or another adult over the age of 18. All medication will be in the properly labeled container from either the pharmacy for prescription medication or in the original container for over-the-counter medication. Make sure to check the expiration date. Narcotic pain medication will not be administered at school.
If a medication needs to be administered daily or is a prescription medication, a “Request for School Administration of Medication” form must be completed by both the parent/guardian and doctor (dated after 07/01/2021) before medication may be administered at school. This includes any over-the-counter medication that indicates it is not to be given to anyone under the age of 18, usually medication containing aspirin (example: Excedrin). Here is a LINK to the Health Services Form.
Please contact the Health Office with any questions. Thank you!

Senior Yearbook Pictures
Welcome, Class of 2022!
The first step of your Senior journey is to have your portrait taken for the yearbook. The yearbook’s deadline for Senior pictures is September 4, 2021. In order to meet this deadline, we have partnered with Lou Coopey Photography in Mesa, AZ to take your yearbook photos.
There are two options: one is $40, the other is free. Please read through this letter completely for details then choose the option that works best for you. If you have questions, please e-mail me at jeremy.zona@gilbertschools.net
OPTION 1 ($40.00 deposit, $50.00 credit to account)
Schedule an appointment with Lou Coopey to have your photo taken at their Mesa studio located at 202 N Lindsay Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213 before September 1, 2021.
Key information about Option 1:
A $40 deposit will be collected at the time of scheduling.
This deposit, along with a $10 credit ($50.00 total) will be applied to each account to purchase portraits and services offered by Lou Coopey.
Return your proof book within 30 days and receive a refund of your $40.00 deposit.
After 30 days, the $10 complimentary credit will expire.
The $40 remains on account and can be used for any senior portrait purchase.
Visit www.loucoopey.com then click on the large red banner across the top to book your appointment.
To ensure the safety of all Seniors, the following protocols are in place for the photo session:
All procedures will be as contact-free as possible.
The studio will be limiting the number of appointments per day to allow for social distancing.
Face masks and hand sanitizer are recommended, but not required.
Seniors will need to come dressed to impress (Collared shirt, tie, suit jacket, dress, and/or professional blouse).
It is recommended that Seniors bring their own clothing. However, if necessary, the studio will provide loaner jackets, ties as needed.
The loaner cap and gown are sanitized on-site in commercial dryers between appointments per CDC sanitation requirements.
All studio services beyond the sitting (scheduling, ordering pictures, and paying fees) will be conducted online.
Senior sessions will include 9-14 poses on a variety of backgrounds including Cap & Gown photos for graduation.
All post-sitting contact will be done online (choosing the yearbook pose, ordering photos, and any additional payment.)
OPTION 2 ($0.00, free, cap & gown pictures may be taken if permitted)
Take your Senior yearbook photo on campus during School Picture Day.
Key information about Option 2:
A limited number of poses will be taken on the yearbook background only.
Dates and times for the on-campus option will be announced.
Students must be dressed to impress (collared shirt, tie, dress, and/or professional blouse) for their senior portrait.
