The purpose of this study is to explore the gender gap that exists among boys explicitly in the area of reading from the perspectives of elementary school teachers.

Who is eligible?

  • Teachers of Grades 3, 4, and 5
  • Two or more years of teaching experience
  • Insight on the reading gender gap

About the Researcher

Thank you for your interest in this research study. I am Teleshia Mincey- Jones and I've been employed with the district since 2007. In my current position, I serve as a Curriculum Resource Teacher/ Instructional Support at the secondary level. My previous positions held include reading specialist and secondary classroom teacher. I am seeking a doctorate in educational leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
