Reminder: The Lunch program is available on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Lunch must be purchased in advance - orders are due the Wednesday before if ordering weekly, monthly etc.
On Tuesday, October 29th students in third through fifth grades will take a short school culture and climate survey. Students will be asked to rate a variety of statements about DuJardin School, the staff, and the curriculum. The results from this survey will help direct future school improvement efforts.
A REMINDER to parents about the Halloween parade and parties scheduled for next Thursday, October 31st. ONLY those parents on the PTO Room parent invite list will be allowed into the classroom parties following the school parade. There is a limit of six parents per classroom. The weather looks cool and cloudy for next Thursday, which means the parade may be held outdoors. Parents and guests will be able to view the parade starting at 1:30 outside in the bus parking lot and the front sidewalk along Euclid Ave. If there is inclement weather parents and guests will be able to view the parade in the gym.
Students going home at lunch to put on their costumes will need a completed and signed permission slip to be dismissed from the building at that time. Students with a last name beginning with A-L will be dismissed at 11:55, and students with a last name beginning with M-Z will be dismissed at 12:05. We ask that parents adhere to these pick up times as the parking lot gets very busy during both pick-up times. Students with hot lunch will be able to pick up their lunch in the gym before exiting the building. The permission slip is linked below in the Halloween Lunch Dismissal post.

A word from our finest...The Bloomingdale Police Department
Character Counts!
The 4th and 5th graders tied 49 fleece blankets that will be given to the child or sibling as well.
DuJardin teachers were also a part of this project, as they spent one morning before school, preparing the blankets to be tied.
This project gave DuJardin students a hands on way to show empathy and compassion for others. They were asked to imagine how it would feel to be in the hospital or to have a sibling staying in the hospital and what it would feel like to receive a surprise such as a welcome bag or a warm blanket in a cold hospital room.
Calling All Veterans
The students and staff of DuJardin School would like to cordially invite all Veterans to join us for lunch and our Veterans Day Chorus Program Monday, November 11, 2019. RSVP is required. Please see invitation for details.
