February 2020

...a traditionally cold month and indeed has been this week! During the cold winter months, we can get a bit tired of the time spent indoors, and students are no different. We do go outside as often as possible, but due to cold temperatures we may not be able. In the hopes we can go outside often, please make sure your student has the proper attire. We still have some gloves and hats to borrow and keep.

February is also a good month to recognize the love this community demonstrates to the Tri-County school district. It is greatly appreciated! From the free books, Partners in Education donations, and parents who provide snacks, and more, our school is richly blessed with help!

Valentine's Day Parties

Each classroom plans their class party to meet their grade level's needs. Please look for information from your student's teacher about bringing valentines, treats, etc.

Scholastic books

At the beginning of the school year, we had many annonymous people who donated money to purchase one book, per month, for EVERY elementary student. Students are still getting and enjoying their monthly books! Thank you, who ever you are!!

PBS Fundraiser

Positive Behavior Supports shapes how we work in the elementary. To do this we share common language for our expectations, we reteach those lessons each week as a reminder, and we look at data to see what changes we need to make. Students are rewarded for doing what is expected, which is following expectations. As part of our PBS program our students can "purchase" items at our store, with their Horseshoes, such as lunch with a special friend, or a braclet, etc. These items, as well as our Big Ticket trips are paid for through fund raisers. For more information about PBS, go to https://www.pbis.org/

We are excited to share with you our new fund raiser, a Branson Vacation Give Away donated by a Tri-County graduate and grandparent! We are selling raffle tickets for $5 each, or 5 for $20 to win a one week vacation to Westgate Branson Woods, in Branson, Missouri! The vacation will be from May 17 - 24. And you must be 21 to participate in the drawing.

For more information or to purchase tickets, please call the elementary office at 684-6117. We will also be selling tickets at home games until March 17th. The drawing will be held at the next Elementary Parent Night on March 17th. Need not be present to win.
