Physical Education Monthly Award: Student All Star / Class Champions
Once a month the Physical Education Teachers will name one student from the 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade the "Student All Star" and one class from the 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade the "Class Champions". Students and classes that go above and beyond and show extensive respect and responsibility each and every day will have a better chance to be named the "Student All Star" & the "Class Champions". Physical Education Concepts
Movement Concepts
This is the foundation in which a high quality Physical Education program is built upon. It includes skills that teach body awareness (what the body can do), space awareness (where the body can move), relationship awareness (the interactions with objects/people), and effort awareness (the dynamics and qualities of movement.
Skill Themes
Include locomotor (walk, run skip), non-manipulative (turning, balancing, stretching), and manipulative (throw, catch, kick) fundamental skills that are modified into more specialized skills upon which more activities/sports are built.
Fitness/Wellness Concepts
Our focus is that students develop knowledge skills and attitude to achieving physical fitness. Students will recognize that physical fitness consists of several different components and will be able to identify some or all of these components.
We LOVE PE!
We are looking forward to an awesome school year! Please contact us at any time!
