On September eleventh 2001, the world will never forget the tragedy of the twin towers getting hit and collapsed, and over 3000 peoples lives taken, more than 400 of the people that died were fire fighters and police officers, more than 10,000 people were treated for injuries. The victims range in age from 2-85 years old, approximately 75-80 percent of the victims were men. Nearly 36,000 units of blood were donated to the New York Blood Center. US TODAY estimates that at least 200 people jumped from the towers to see if they would have a better chance of living than staying in the tower. Red cross gained $3 million dollars only in just two days. The rescue and recovery clean-up of the 1.8 million tons of wreckage took 9 months to clean up. Did you know that 9/11 was the single largest loss of life from foreign attacks on American soil, and that only 18 people were rescued from the tower? Respirator problems like Asthma, and lung inflammation also developed at abnormal rates for those in and around the world trade center, during and after attacks.

Sadly, in the picture above that is not even close to a quarter of the people that died.

As you can see, that is taking a lot of work and not many people are there supporting. Im guessing that it wasnt a city or state kind of thing, it was just people deciding to put memory of wonderful people that died on a wall so everyone could see.
