Wildlight Elementary Jr. Beta Club
Induction Ceremony
Our first chapter of the WES Jr. Beta Club inducted its inaugural members on November 30th. We are extremely proud of these students and the hard work it took to receive this well deserved honor. The students will be participating in community service projects throughout the year and we know they will be an excellent representation of WES wherever they go. Congratulations on a job well done!
Wildlight Elementary School-Related Employee of the Year
We are proud to announce our School-Related Employee of the Year, Mrs. Heather Smith. Mrs. Smith is a paraprofessional who works with Mrs. Bozeman in the library as well as in the front office. She is always willing to help in any area she is needed and is an amazing asset to our school. We are so grateful to have her as a part of the WES team! Congrats, Mrs. Smith!
Phoenix Barbour-Yerka, Winner of the Tropicana Speech Contest
Congrats to Phoenix for winning the 5th grade Tropicana Speech Contest. He will represent Wildlight at the District competition in December. Good luck! We know you will do great!
Who's Going to Win the Cabbage Growing Contest This Year?
The Bonnie Cabbage Program, alongside Farm Bureau, presented each of our 3rd graders with a cabbage plant to take home and grow as part of a statewide contest. The student in the state who grows the largest cabbage wins $1,000!! Last year, a student from Yulee Elementary, Ethan Jones, won $1,000 for his humongous cabbage! The students were excited to receive their plants and we can't wait to see how they are growing!
