Please sign up for Fall Conferences!
It is time to sign up for student conferences which are Monday, November 21 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Tuesday, November 22 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please sign up for a time with your child's homeroom teacher only. Middle school parents only sign up with their homeroom teacher. Miss Kollen will not be in town the day we have conferences so she will be scheduling conferences the week before and after, so 7/8 parents should be the only ones signing up to see Mrs. Floyd.
You need to be sign up for a conference by November 8, if not you will be signed up for a conference by the school for whatever time is still open.
To sign up for conferences, please click on the following link: www.mysignup.com/fogartyk@visitationschool.net Choose your child's homeroom teacher and then click on the open time that you want. If a time is already taken it will be noted. You will need to provide the information requested. Please check to make sure you are in the correct grade. After you filled in the information, click the time taken button at the bottom and then just click off the page, please ignore all information after you click time taken. I will send you a confirmation email stating the day and time you signed up for a conference.

Cookie Dough Final Numbers & Delivery Date
Cookie sale totals are in and a delivery date is set. The total sales for the school were $7,596, with the school profit totaling $3,038.40! The cookie delivery will come on November 18th, and anyone who can assist with either the organization for pick-up, to make calls for pick-up or assist in handing out orders is encouraged to let Donna know by calling or texting, 253-279-5428. The delivery will be sometime between noon and 1pm, and as the day gets closer a more exact time will be provided. All pick-ups need to be completed by 5pm, so please plan to ensure your order does not get delivered to the food bank as there is nowhere to store orders over the weekend.
The 3rd/4th grade class will get to enjoy a pizza party as the top seller was Bella Pingrey! The top ten sellers are listed below and all are invited to come to an after-school movie party. All winners need to respond to the note home with their preferred day for the party, a favorite snack and a ranking of their movie options by Monday, November 7th. A final date will be announced next week. Congratulations to the top sellers and to all the students who did such a great job raising money for the school.

Carpool Procedure - Reminder
Morning Drop Off:
Cars enter the morning drop-off area by way of Lawrence Street. Cars pull forward to the first three spaces before releasing their riders. Cars exit by way of the alley and proceed either north or south.
Please do not drop your students off in any other area of the school site.
Afternoon Pick Up:
All students are to be picked up from the carpool area unless special circumstances warrant an exception. A waiver explaining the special need is required by the school’s insurance carrier and must be on file in the school office each year for the students that walk home.
Parents who need to come into the school office after school are asked to park along Lawrence Street or in front of the school.
Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance
- Applications must be completed by December 9, 2016, to be considered for a Fulcrum grant.
- The grant amount for the 2017-2018 academic year is $1,200 per student in elementary school.
The online application has been updated and can be accessed by using the direct link, https://fulcrumfoundation.org/grants-and-programs/tuition-assistance
You will need to create an account with FACTS which is the organization that manages the Fulcrum grants, then proceed with the directions from FACTS.
Each family must pay a $24 fee to FACTS to apply for Fulcrum tuition assistance. The $24 fee covers all applications for 1 year, and will be fully reimbursed so long as your student(s), regardless of whether they are awarded a Fulcrum grant or not, enrolls in a Catholic school for the 2017-2018 school year.
You MUST apply for Fulcrum Assistance to be eligible for help from VCSA.

Christmas Giving Tree Program
Families needing assistance should call the church office and leave their contact information with the office staff. Their intake volunteers will then call you to collect the information needed to provide Christmas dinners and gifts. We all understand that privacy is a concern and we assure you that all information will be kept strictly confidential. Please contact the church office at (253) 473-4960 from 10:00-3:30 to schedule a callback appointment.
If you are uncomfortable having an intake volunteer contact you, but need assistance this year, please contact Margie Mykland. She will collect the necessary information and use a family code to provide the necessary information to the GTP Coordinator without revealing your name or other contact information.
Intake requests must be received by Friday, November 18th.
