First Grade Rules
Better late than never....
I had an extremely busy weekend and apologize this is so late!
Last week we finished our Chapter 3 Addition Strategies in Math. The class worked really hard in various centers to learn about adding near double, adding in any order and making a 10 to add. Students also have been working hard at First in Math. We are getting much faster at our basic math facts. Helpful hint: Use the Just the Facts games to help with fluency.
We also used our Scholastic Reader to learn more about Veteran's day. We created a classroom book about why we are thankful to be an American. We visited the Patriotic Presentations that the 4th graders held. During the presentations we learned a lot about different songs that represented our country. We also started our past and present unit with the Pilgrims.
Revanth was in the SPOTlight!
We learned that he liked to crawl in drawers when he was little and wants to be an NBA player when he grows up.
We worked in Math centers and created a Veteran's Day book!
Getting Patriotic Tattoos!
