Message from Mrs. Carey!

Dear KES families,

Happy Friday Eve to our KES families! It is so hard to believe that we are on the homestretch to the end of the school year! So bittersweet as we have thoroughly enjoyed having our students in a "back to normal" school year and watching our KES Tigers flourish with their learning! Wow, have they impressed us! FUN FACT...When someone is referred to as a "Tiger" they are known to be ambitious, determined, and fierce! GO KES Tigers! We also need to know that our KES Tigers show awesome character traits and true kindness to others, on a daily basis. Keep it up KES!

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is a 1:00 PM dismissal for KES students. Typically on early dismissal days, we have quite a few varying pick-up arrangements to accommodate our families. PLEASE ensure that if your student is a car pick-up, an adult has a tag displayed in their window or a call/email has been made, (PRIOR to 10:30 AM), of the adult picking up. They MUST have their photo ID readily available through the pick-up line so we can verify the pick-up. We would like to move the line through as efficiently and as quickly as possible.

As summer is upon us...please make sure that you review the KES & CMS Summer, Reading, and Math Challenges! I have linked them below. At the beginning of the year, we make sure to celebrate those students that take the time over the summer to participate! Let's make it record-breaking for participation!

Yearbook Information

Due to an error made by our yearbook company, they have requested a "reprint" of this year's edition! Our new delivery date has been set as June 10th! We will keep you informed of the delivery and our options to get those orders to your student that ordered. Thank you for your patience!

2022-2023 School Meal Information

As of June 30th, 2022, the United States Department of Agriculture waivers will expire. This means that for next school year, all students receiving Free Breakfast and Free Lunch will end. At the beginning of the school year, the Free/Reduced applications will be sent home to anyone that would like to see if your family qualifies for this benefit. All students will need to have money at the time of school meals until they are approved otherwise. Additional information on meal pricing for SY 2022-2023 will be sent out to your family in the upcoming weeks.

Congratulations to Mrs. Sarah Williams, 5th Grade Teacher for receiving the "Shining Star" Award at last night's Board of Education meeting!
